Hoophead Content of the Week

There's nothing we’d rather be doing than playing ball, but our devotion to the game extends well past being on the court. Like you, we spend plenty of time watching hoops and scouring the internet and social media for exciting, intriguing basketball content, immediately sending it to a friend we think would enjoy. Only now, we have a whole lot of basketball-loving friends with whom to share a few neat things we spot during the week. Just in case you missed them.

Yes of course we love that video of a sick dunk or buzzer-beating heave. And you just may see that here. But we also love the X’s and O’s, the story of an underdog, or some super awesome information from some far-off place you didn’t think had a hoop.  

Once a week, we figure, we will spread the word about the handful of basketball wonders that caught our interest. It won’t be the same stuff you can find everywhere. What it will hopefully be is a testament to the care we all have for the game of basketball.

Here are some of our most recent faves:

• Our staff designer loves them for what he says are the NBA’s best uniforms. Milwaukee residents can now love the Bucks for helping to fix up some area courts.
• As much as we care about basketball, we might be willing to allow for the fact Timberwolves’ coach Tom Thibodeau cares even more. How will his presence impact this young team?
• The NBA has once again shown it has its finger on the pulse of digital innovation, enabling those watching League Pass on their mobile devices to have a better look.
• And lastly, some sad news for hoops fans world-wide: Twitter recently announced it will be shuttering Vine, a platform that became synonymous with hoops highlights. What are we going to do without a place to share videos like this?
