And the winner of our Get Sponsored contest is...

No matter how far across the globe our game now reaches, basketball will always be synonymous with the borough of Brooklyn. The playgrounds along those New York City streets have seen both legendary and mythical ballers, some of whom made it to The League, others whose names we will never know. If only those courts could talk.

But lots of attention will now be called to a gymnasium in East Flatbush, where the varsity squad of Nazareth Regional High School will be sporting POINT 3 uniforms after winning our “Get Sponsored” contest. Congratulations to coach Todd Jamison and the Kingsmen, who play in the very competitive Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) which constantly boasts some of the best teams in the city and region.

We are very excited to welcome them to the POINT 3 family, especially since their makeup embodies the love and spirit for the game that inspired our company’s founding. Spend a few minutes talking to their optimistic but diligent head coach and you will have a strong idea of how much they care about basketball.

“We’re going to play the right way. It doesn’t matter if we’re talented or not,” assured Jamison. “We’re going to respect the game, we’re going to pass, move without the ball, play defense.”

These ideals kept them focused and working hard last season when despite a 1-7 start, they made it all the way to the city semifinals.

“We play for each other,” he continued, “and I think if you play the right way, you care about the game.”

A team after our own heart.
